# Review a chapter in QA

> Understand what needs review, what needs a pickup, and what is complete.

QA brings the current chapter recording, findings, and pickups into one work queue.

1. Open your project’s **QA** workspace and select a chapter.
2. Check the source filename. [Add a recording](/recordings/upload) if the chapter has none.
3. Wait for proofing to finish. After the upload completes, processing can continue while you work elsewhere.
4. Review items in **To review**. [Listen and decide](/qa/review-finding) whether each needs a change.
5. Work through **Pickups** and mark them complete after making the corrections.
6. Use **Completed** to inspect or reopen a finished item.

## Read the chapter counts

| Label | What it means |
| - | - |
| **To review** | Findings that still need your decision. |
| **Pickups** | Confirmed or manually marked work that is still open. |
| **Remaining** | The total of findings to review and open pickups. |
| **Done / Completed** | Work items resolved as no change needed or completed pickups. |

**Active**, **To review**, and **Pickups** are filters of the same chapter queue. Changing a filter does not change the work’s status.

## Know which recording you are reviewing

The chapter header identifies the current recording and its [reading pace](/qa/reading-pace), when available. A preserved pickup may show **From previous recording** and use its original audio instead.

“All caught up” means the active queue is empty. Check that proofing has finished before treating the chapter’s review as complete. Continue your normal listening and delivery checks even when no differences are flagged.
