# Read and navigate in Studio

> Keep the manuscript and your pickup work close while you record.

Open **Studio** in your project and choose a reading section. Read from that section while you record in your usual recording software.

## Find the passage you need

Select a section to open its manuscript text. Pickups shown in the Studio sidebar are scoped to that section. Choose a pickup to return to its passage.

If you are already reviewing a finding in QA, use [Go to line in Studio](/studio/go-to-line) to carry its chapter and passage with you.

## Capture a correction as you read

Select the relevant manuscript text and [mark a pickup](/studio/manual-pickups). Add a note that will make sense when you return to record the correction.

Active pickup underlines are more prominent. Completed pickup underlines remain visible with a quieter treatment, so you can distinguish outstanding work from passages you have finished.

## Before moving on

Check the section’s remaining pickups and save any new notes. For the chapter’s audio review and finding decisions, return to [QA](/qa/chapter-workflow).
