Each rule records a specific Narration heard → Manuscript pair that you have accepted for this book. It does not accept every similar phrase or pronunciation.

Example

A rule for “street lamps” under Narration heard and “streetlamps” under Manuscript accepts that reading for this book. If Margent flags a related phrase, listen to the audio before deciding whether it also needs a rule.

Both sides need text

You cannot create an equivalence rule with a blank narration or manuscript value. Apparent additions and omissions can still be resolved as no change needed without saving a rule.

Existing decisions stay decided

Editing or removing a rule changes future proofing. It does not reopen findings you already completed. Manage the rule and reopen a completed finding separately when needed.
