Create a pickup from a finding

1. Open the chapter in QA and select a finding.
2. Listen with Play excerpt and check the manuscript context.
3. If the narration needs work, choose Create pickup.
4. Continue reviewing findings, or switch to Pickups to work through the corrections.

The finding becomes a pickup in the same queue. Its manuscript context and available source audio details stay connected to the work. Creating a pickup records your decision to make a correction. It does not record a new take or edit the audio file.

If Create pickup is unavailable

The manuscript may have changed since proofing, or the finding may no longer belong to the current recording. Refresh the queue and check the current source. Proof the current manuscript before creating pickups from stale findings. Some findings do not have enough manuscript text to anchor a pickup. You can mark the correct passage manually in Studio.
