Add, edit, and remove book rules

Open the project’s QA workspace and choose Book equivalence rules.

Find a rule

Use Search rules… to search either the narration-heard text or manuscript text. Check both columns before changing a pair.

Add a rule

1. Choose Add rule.
2. Enter the transcription’s wording under Narration heard.
3. Enter the manuscript wording under Manuscript.
4. Choose Add rule to save.

Both values must be present and different. If Margent says the pair already exists, review the saved rule instead. Directly adding a rule affects future proofing. To clear current matching findings as well, use Remember this match for this book from a finding.

Edit or remove a rule

Open the row’s actions menu. Choose Edit, update the pair, and Save, or choose Remove to delete the rule. These changes affect future results. Already completed findings stay completed, and confirmed pickups are preserved. Removing a rule does not automatically re-run proofing or restore previously resolved findings to the queue.
